Adah Sharma’s Unique ‘Kaddu Workout’ Promises Better Posture in 31 Days

Bollywood actor Adah Sharma has gone viral once again — this time for her unusual but engaging fitness routine that uses a simple lauki (bottle gourd) as workout equipment. Calling it “Core Workout 3.0,” Adah encouraged her followers to try the exercise daily for 31 days, performing 20 repetitions to improve posture and core strength.

In her routine, the lauki acts as a lightweight dumbbell while she performs controlled shoulder and core movements. The workout includes forward and backward shoulder raises, which help strengthen the shoulders, upper back, and deep core muscles. Adah highlighted that this routine is especially helpful for people who spend long hours on their phones or laptops and develop poor posture.

Fitness expert Garima Goyal supported the idea, explaining that such simple posture-focused exercises can correct rounded shoulders, reduce back pain, and activate the body’s stabilizing muscles. She noted that movements like these target the transverse abdominis, obliques, and lower-back stabilizers — all essential for proper alignment and balance.

Goyal added that posture correction takes time and consistency. Along with such exercises, she advised maintaining healthy habits such as staying hydrated, eating protein-rich whole foods, practising mindful breathing, and ensuring an ergonomic workspace.

Adah Sharma’s creative “kaddu workout” proves that fitness doesn’t always require expensive equipment — sometimes a humble kitchen vegetable is enough to kick-start healthier habits.
