Putin Formalizes Mutual Defense Pact with North Korea

Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially enacted a mutual defense treaty with North Korea, strengthening the strategic alliance between the two countries. This significant agreement, initially announced after a June summit in Pyongyang between Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, obligates both nations to defend one another in the event of an armed attack. A decree ratifying the treaty was posted on an official Russian legislative website, confirming its approval by the Russian parliament.
