Mob Lynches Man in Mangaluru Over Alleged Pro-Pakistan Slogan During Cricket Match

In a shocking incident that has ignited a wave of public outrage, a 34-year-old man was lynched by a mob in Mangaluru after allegedly shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” during a televised cricket match between India and Australia.

The incident occurred late Sunday evening near the Bhatra Kallurti temple in the Bajpe area. According to police reports, more than 25 individuals surrounded the man, assaulted him with wooden sticks and iron rods, and left him critically injured. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries early Monday morning.

Fifteen people have been arrested so far, with CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts forming the basis of the investigation. Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal condemned the incident, saying, “Regardless of what was said, taking the law into one’s own hands is unacceptable and will be dealt with severely.”

The victim’s family has denied the allegations that he shouted any provocative slogans and has demanded an impartial inquiry. The incident has raised concerns about rising intolerance and the dangers of mob justice in modern India.
